History

Thermo Design is a Canadian based firm, originally founded in 1979 as an engineering, procurements and fabrication (EPF) business. From its early beginnings, Thermo Design provided high quality, innovative designs for modular process plant packages for Canadian upstream oil & gas clients.

In the late 1980's, Thermo Design expanded its sales into the former Soviet Union and China following the increasing potential for opportunities in the international marketplace. This business shift brought significantly larger scale projects experience and international recognition to the company. This also led to the receipt of the Canadian Export Achievement Award in 1989.

The progression to larger scale projects allowed Thermo Design to expand and amalgamate its design and production facilities onto a 20 acre location at the Corporate headquarters in Edmonton, Canada. This location contains the main office design group and six fabrication shops for equipment fabrication and assembly.

Through the 1990's and to the present day, Thermo Design has continued to expand it's international presence and has provided a wide range of products and services to more than twenty countries around the world in onshore and offshore locations.
