LPG Extraction

Thermo Design can design plants to reduce the hydrocarbon dew point of a natural gas stream to allow it to be safely introduced into a gas transmission system. Thermo Design can also design plants to economically recover liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) where quantities are sufficient to consider this.

The projects listed below are only a partial list of Hydrocarbon Dew point Control/LPG Recovery projects completed by Thermo Design where Propane Refrigerant, a Turbo Expander, or a Joule-Thompson Expansion Process has been utilized to chill the gas.

All projects listed below include:
  • Gas Glycol Contactor Dehydration and / or Glycol Injection to control Water Dew Point and to prevent Hydrate formation in the Gas Chilling process
  • Recovered Hydrocarbon Liquids Separation and Fractionation
  • Heat Medium System

Some projects also include:

  • Inlet Gas Compression
  • Gas Amine Sweetening (Desulfurization)
  • Dry Desiccant Adsorption Dehydration
  • Crude Oil Dehydration and Separation
  • Electric Power Generation
  • Flare and Drain Systems
  • Heating / Cooling Systems
  • Control Systems / Telecommunications / Maintenance Systems
  • Firefighting Systems / Maintenance Facilities
