Project Summary

The original contract to supply LPG Recovery Plant with a nominal inlet gas flow of 300,000 m3/day @ 40 Barg and 40°C was awarded to TDE1991.  The Plant, built and delivered on a turn-key project basis, was handed over to Daqing Energy in March 1993 and has been in continuous operation since then.

The contract included the following TDE supplied equipment and services:

  • Detailed Design (process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control) and fabrication of the LPG Recovery Plant.
  • Shop testing of all equipment and system prior to shipping.
  • Transportation to site.
  • Supply of spare parts for commissioning, start up and 2-year of operation.
  • Supply of plant chemicals, lubricants and fire fighting equipment.
  • Site civil works and field assembly of the modular TDE supplied equipment.
  • Responsibility for commissioning, start up and operational performance test.
  • Personnel training for processes and operation
Inlet Gas Handling

Gas Flow rate:    300,000 m3/day @ 40 Barg and 40°C
Process Facilities: Filter/separator, 3-Phase Inlet Separator.
Compressor: 2 x Ajax model DPC 800 reciprocating, capacity 150,000 m3/d
Compressor Driver: 2 x Ajax 800 HP
Coolers: Intercooler, duty 1.0 mm Btu/hr   After cooler: duty 1.0 mm Btu/hr

Gas Dehydration

Dehydration Technology: Glycol Dehydration
Gas Flowrate: 300,000 m3/day @ 40 Barg and 40°C
Contactor: trayed tower, 36"OD x 34'™ s/s, 400 psig at 175F
Glycol regenerator: duty 375,000 Btu/hr

Gas Chilling & Refrigeration

Pre-Gas Chillers: Brazed Aluminum Fin/Plate Heat Exchanger with three (3) services integrated in one unit, 2.54 MMBTU/hr) total duty
Low Temperature Separator: 36"OD x 10'0" s/s, 400 psig at -45F   
Gas Chiller: type BKU, duty 2.3 mm Btu/hr
Refrigerant Compressors: 2- Mycom P3225 SSC compound rotary screw with 750 HP WEG electric drivers
Refrigerant Condenser: duty 3.68 mm Btu/hr

Stabilization & NGL Fractionation

Deethanizer Fractionation: 30"/24" OD x 40'0" s/s packed tower, 400psig at 150F, Overhead condenser, duty 1.15 mm Btu/hr, reboiler, duty 1.81 mm Btu/hr
Condensate Stripper:  Packed tower, 12 ¾" OD x 28'0", 400 psig at 150F
Debutanizer Fractionation: 36"/30" OD x 40'0" s/s, 215 psig at 350F

Utilities

Heat Medium System: 6.5 MMBTU/hr Direct Fired Heat Medium Heater, Expansion Tank & 2x100% Heat Medium pumps
Methanol Injection:    Methanol Storage Tank and 2x100% Methanol Injection Pumps
