Sales Manager

Role:

Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned market. Provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with TDE’s vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand TDE’s client base.


Responsibilities:

  • Planning all sales and business development activities in close collaboration with the VP of Business Development and Marketing and the VP of Operations.
  • Reviewing technical proposals, working with prospects, and negotiating directly with Clients to close sales.
  • Ensuring sales management is provided with regular sales activity reports from within the territory and realistic forecasts.
  • Assisting with review of press releases, advertisements, sales literature and related marketing materials as it relates to Thermo Design Engineering Ltd.
  • Assisting with payments and accounts receivables from the customer base within the region.
  • Over time, building a high performing sales team in the region
  • Meet performance expectations, as defined by the annual Business Plan.
  • Interact with management, other internal TDE departments to achieve sales objectives
  • Various other sales related tasks as assigned.

  • A mature team player with a consistently positive outlook when dealing with internal colleagues, clients, and senior management.
  • Professionalism consistent with the TDE’s corporate culture of treating others with respect - regardless of their status or position.
  • A strong customer (both internal and external) focus and consistent follow through on commitments.
  • Strong time management skills with a sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Lotus Notes, including ability to participate in Net meetings.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to think "outside of the box".
  • Excellent communication both written and oral presentation.
  • Good working knowledge of English language required. Fluency in multiple languages a plus.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Develop new long term relationships with current and future customers.
  • Ability to use PowerPoint and Excel as communication tools to various audiences;
  • An energetic, proactive, career-oriented approach with the desire, and ability, to advance within TDE.
  • A broad-based technical foundation within the oil & gas industry and a solid basis in business fundamentals is required


Education/Experience Required:

  • A four-year degree from an accredited institution in an engineering or related technical field.
  • Eight years of relevant technical sales experience with an EPC company, Oil and Gas Producing Company in the oil & gas industry.


Other Considerations:

Travel, mainly domestic and some international, is required.
